Join legislators, school administrators, parents, teachers and others to a symposium to discuss positive school transformation models that are based on cooperation, not coercion.

The symposium will consist of a brief history and overview of the focus on a collaborative model utilized in Lowell schools that has resulted in significant and sustainable school improvement in some of Lowell’s most challenging schools. Hear directly from administrators and teachers from the Murkland, Morey and Pawtucketville Memorial that have achieved outstanding results in all phases of school improvement.

Please join these practitioners as they share their story that has resulted in significantly improved student outcomes for Lowell students. As we strive for the schools our communities deserve we need to develop transformative models that involve administrators, educators, parents, students and the community, not state-imposed receivership.

Street parking and garage parking is available.

This event is sponsored by the Massachusetts Education Justice Alliance (MEJA), AFT Massachusetts (AFTMA) and the United Teachers of Lowell.
